Guided tours Genoa and Liguria

Genoa and Liguria guided tours for individuals, couples, families and group travelers with local private guides.

The sea has always been closely tied to Genova and played a major role in its history, its development and its economy and since ancient age it has formed its character.

Even Charles Dickens, in his “pictures from Italy” wrote about Genoa:

“….. You can lose your way twenty times a day, if you like; and turn up again, under the most unexpected and surprising difficulties. It abounds in the strangest contrasts; things that are picturesque, ugly, mean, magnificent, delightful, and offensive, break upon the view at every turn….”

Liguria can be an unforgettable experience.  City, sea and nature, fabulous food and tangible history are the stones of a tailor made tour, focused on your requests and whishes.

Treat yourself to something special, if here on holiday, with friends, family or for business and ask for a designed tour for you. Choose if you want to walk, drive, hike or ride a bike.

As tour guides living in Genoa we want to show you exactly what you are interested in. As historians by education and of course Italians we can give you a real insight into Ligurian’s fascinating past and present – on or off the beaten tourist path!

Skills

Quality

I have graduated in Anthropology at the University of Rom. Since 2009 Tour leader and since 2016 Tour guide. Organized and reorganized itinerary according to the date, weather, clients, and the situation of attractions. Extensive knowledge of history and visual arts which give me the opportunity to conduct in-depth specialized walking tours of Genoa, Portofino and Cinque Terre.

Public Speaking and Narration Skills

One important part of being a tour guide is narrating to people and not overwhelm them with too many facts and figures. Dates are important to know, but it is not interesting for people to listen to lists of dates. I always try to make more interesting by formulating a mix of history, curiosity and different points of views.

Great Organizational and Leadership Skills

A local guide must be super organised and practical:  providing assistance to clients as necessary satisfying the needs and desires of customers. Coordination with bus drivers, bus companies, restaurants, and hotels are of course a must.
